The municipality of Pollensa is on the north side of the island of Majorca, around 30 miles from the capital of Palma. Pollensa is a coastal town with a small population, sheltered by a mountain on one side and gifted with a view of the Mediterranean Sea on the other.
Pollensa’s history dates back over 2-millennia when the Romans stationed a part of their forces there. A roman bridge, Pont Roma, still stands as a reminder. Signs of later occupations are obvious with such landmarks as the monastery from 1371 AD. More recently, the town has restored the Puig De Maria monastery, which rests on a 1000-foot hillock overlooking the town.
In August, Pollensa put on its’ annual outdoor festivals, where world-renowned orchestras play live music. In February, there are various sporting events held, which race around the island. And for the foodie, there are various markets in Palma for tourists to visit and experience true Spanish food.

This is a busy part of town, but the property has space to park one car, so you will not be driving around looking for space. There is no lift.
Being in the penthouse of the building means that this is a peaceful place to be asleep. And at night, the terrace is airy with an open view of the stars in the clear sky above. There is enough seating outside for a party of 20, and there is total privacy from neighbors. There are views of the harbor and the sea, which are both set directly in front of the building.

The modern kitchen has all the resources you could want or need. There is a cooking island with an electric hob that doubles at a breakfast station, a fitted oven, and microwave. The roof terrace is decked and partially covered for eating at the shaded garden table. A built-in barbecue makes it a perfect place to have small parties, or take it slow on one of the sun loungers.
There are some pleasant restaurants near the apartment with private pools that paying guests can use throughout the day. Moving on down to the beaches, there are some spectacular places to eat and drink with a view over the port. And if you are feeling energetic, it is possible to walk to the other side of the mountain to see the cliffs of Formentor. The viewpoint is called Mirador Es Colomer, the Meeting Point of the Winds.
Access to the excitement.
The main town of Pollensa is visible and a short walk from the apartment. But, to see Palma you would need a car, taxi or to find a bus. This is a quiet area with access to the excitement of town. Lots to see and plenty to do. And this penthouse will make a great place to share with friends.
